Lusaka: Samson Malaya Joins Aguila Stars. Aguila Stars Football Club has secured the services of one of Zambia’s promising young talents, Samson Malaya, in a move that could bring new energy and creativity to the squad. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder joins from Atletico Lusaka FC after completing his medicals.
Known for his quick feet, vision, and ability to play across the attacking midfield line, Malaya arrives with Super League experience under his belt—quite the achievement for a teenager. His technical skills and versatility make him a valuable addition as Aguila FC reshapes its squad for the 2025/26 FAZ National League season.

But Malaya isn’t the only arrival at Aguila Stars. The club has also added Tapiwa Kamanga, a 21-year-old centre back also signed from Atletico Lusaka. Kamanga brings defensive solidity and serious pace, having already proven himself at the top level of Zambian football. His presence at the back will surely be one to watch as the season unfolds.
Aguila Stars FC has also strengthened behind the scenes. Richard Sakala has been appointed as the club’s new Physical Coach. Sakala is a respected figure in Zambian football, with past experience at Lusaka Dynamos and Kafue Celtic. He currently serves in the same role for the Zambia Women’s National Team, now in camp ahead of WAFCON.
In addition, Brian Kunsanama steps in as Head Coach, while Benjamin Upalo Siwale joins the team as the new Athlete Manager.
With these additions, Aguila Stars look set to make a serious statement in the upcoming season. And for a young talent like Samson Malaya, this could be the platform that turns potential into headlines.
