  NKANA FC beat defending champions Zesco United 4-3 in the 2018 Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu Charity Shield final match played on Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium. Nkana have now won the Shield a record 16 times. This was a sweet revenge for Nkana who were defeated 2-0 in last years final played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium Nkana could have opened the scoring on 13th minute when striker Idriss Mbombo failed to score with only a goalkeeper to beat after being set up with a brilliant pass by forward Ronald Kampamba. Mbombo had another chance to break the deadlock on 18th minute with his long range powerful header but Zesco goalkeeper Ntibahezwa was equal to the task to parry the ball away. Charity Shield final 2017 saw Zesco United outwit the 15 times Charity Shield trophy holder. John Chingandu's brace separated the two teams bringing dismay to Zeddy Saileti's men.   Ndola city come to a standstill as Fifteen time Charity Shield holders Nkana fc are set to lock horns with Zesco United in this year's Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu Charity Shield final match at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. The two giants have met twice in this competition with Zesco United emerging victorious in both ties.
