According to the report on Facebook Fazfootball social media “The Football Association of Zambia(FAZ) has announced adjustments in the final fixtures of the 2016 MTN FAZ Super League.”
The adjustments have been following up on some requests from clubs in the upper and lower slot of the table. They felt they might be disadvantaged for FAZ to allow rescheduled games go on to be played on 7th and 10th December while their last games would have been played on 3rd and 4th December.
“In their communication to FAZ General Secretary Ponga Liwewe, Nkana FC contended that they would be disadvantaged in the race for second position if they played their final match on December 4 while their rivals Zesco United were allowed to play two more matches after that date.”
Nkana also stated that there were other teams in the relegation zone fighting for survival who would be similarly disadvantaged.
“As a response to the concerns raised by Nkana, FAZ pushed forward their match with Forest Rangers from 4th to 10th December.”
FAZ has also pushed forward from 3rd to 10th December the match between Green Eagles and Lusaka Dynamos.
