Things kept falling apart at Green Buffaloes as they were put to the sharp sword.
Kwimba Winstone Kalengo hattrick completely floored Buffaloes this afternoon when they succumbed to a 3-1 loss to a massively poetic Zesco United. The match week 6 was played at Sunset Stadium on an early kick-off.
It is a second loss In a row for Green Buffaloes who drop into the relagation on the log while Zesco United stay atop of the league table counting down into the Champions league group matches.
The match began on a nervy note with both teams flashing out flowery moves but it was Zesco United who went ahead in the 32nd minute through a Winstone Kalengo tap in from close range.
The defending champions kept finding in-roads in the midfield with Kamusoko and Mtonga at the think of things and their efforts paid in the 37th minute when Kwimba doubled with a well taken lightning bolt strike from the box.
The second stanza brought no wind of difference to the proceedings on the sunset tuff. Zesco United kept knocking the ball with sheer comfort to the joy of the crowd. Sweet passing football of lovely intrigue and Kwimba out jumped the Buffaloes defence to power in a text book header from a SILWIMBA cross and the Champions were three up.
Buffaloes however responded with a similar move and they pulled one back five minutes later as Friday Samu pounced on a juicy Simpemba cross to pull one back.
It was a pizza box day at office for Zesco United who now resorted to a spectacle of a passing display. The Champions kept flowing with passing fluency and poetic accuracy and Buffaloes could only watch and learn.
Zesco United remains unbeaten as they keep building up to the Champions league group stage as there seem to be no challenger at the local front.
