Coach Noel Mwandila booted out of Buildcon

Coach Noel Mwandila becomes another victim to be unceremoniously booted out from the Ndola based football club Buildcon FC who plays in the Zambia super league. This is according to the social media post on the Buildcon official Facebook page. Noel Mwandila was handed the termination letter on 17th February 2020. Noel Mwandila served in the capacity of the assistant coach for Buildcon. Noel is a former midfielder for Green Buffaloes football club where he played from 2003 to 2015. Mwandila also featured at the Zambia senior national team. In 2018, then in Tanzania, Noel Mwandila also coached as Assistant at Young Africans (Yanga Soccer Team) where he helped the team cruise into the Azam Sports Federation Cup. The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appointed Sydney Mungala as acting Communications Manager. This follows the exit of Mwazi Chanda who is on administrative leave. Mungala has served as Digital Media Officer at FAZ from February 2017 to date. He has also been producing content for the FAZ online platforms that includes Facebook, Twitter and the Website. He holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Media and Communication Studies from the University of Zambia and a Diploma in Journalism from Evelyn Hone College. Mungala also served as sports journalist at The Post Newspapers from 2006 to 2011 and later joined the Bulletin&Record Magazine. Affected CAF competitions to experience the SuperSport blackout

Sudden SuperSport cancellation of televising CAF games means a total of 6 competitions will be affected. Regular SuperSport CAF live game cast include Champions League, Confederation Cup and AFCON. Yesterday 8th October 2019 CAF revealed that it had cancelled the television and marketing deal, worth $1b, with Lagardere. Lagarde was found guilty to have breached CAF competition rules. SuperSport televise CAF games through the license rights acquired from Lagarde. Following an event at Arthur Davies stadium that attracted thousands of football lovers who took an opportunity to honor the icon, Linos posted on his social media. While Renard raised the bar LUC is the man for Zambia

Herve Renard raised the bar for Zambia but for now, after 7 years of gradual descent in football, it is Luc Eymael who might stand as the man. We struggled in the early stages of Renard tenure but why would we not have? Zambia was not a competitor on the continent as he (Renard) left it after the 2012 triumph. Renard raised the standards and the next Chipolopolo coach should be able to follow up and surpass the Frenchman's work. Chipolopolo has gone unbeaten in the last 9 outings with Aggrey Chiyangi in charge but one will be surprised how come we are all still not convinced he's the right man for the job.
