City Yamoto appoints football veteran administrator Simataa Simataa as City of Lusaka Football Club Consultant according to the Yamoto's Public Relation release. Mr Simataa's appointment is with immediate effect. Mr Simataa is a veteran football administrator whose pilgrimage has seen him previously at City of Lusaka Football Club as Chairman. Simataa is also Former Football Association Zambia President. More recently Simataa was at Lusaka Dynamos Football Club in the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Ndola giants Zesco United thrashed bottom placed City of Lusaka 4-1 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the rescheduled Week 26 match of the FAZ Super League on Sunday. Kambole scored a brace to push United into second position dispatching City further into relegation. According to a media statement issued August 24th 2017 City of Lusaka Football Club have parted company with coaches Hector Chilombo and Davy Musole by mutual consent. "Chilombo signed a six-month performance- based contract in May with Yamoto. He replaced veteran coach Elijah Chikwanda." The statement read as issued by Alex Basopo Njovu Club Communications Manager. The club sincerely thanked the duo for their services rendered to the club and wished them success in their future endeavours. Zesco United light up the league log with two points ahead. Jackson Mwanza lone goal in week 22 against Nchanga Rangers played at Konkola stadium in Chililabombwe ensured that Zesco remained at the top.
