Assistant Coach Enala Phiri

Coach Enala Phiri is one of the most experienced and respected coaches in Zambian women’s football. With a career spanning over 15 years, she has held key roles at both club and national team levels, building a reputation for tactical discipline and player development.

Her coaching journey began in 2006 when she was appointed head coach of the Zambia U-17 girls. She later made history as the only female coach to lead Zambia’s U-23 Women’s Team, marking a significant step in representation and leadership in local football.

At club level, Enala has managed several top sides including Indeni Roses, Lusaka Dynamos Ladies, and NAPSA Stars Women. Across these teams, she built her name as a coach who blends structure with a strong developmental approach—key in nurturing young talent and shaping competitive squads.

She currently serves as First Assistant Coach to Swiss tactician Nora Häuptle in the Zambia Women’s Senior National Team setup. This dual role keeps her at the forefront of Zambia’s evolving women’s football landscape.

In June 2025, Enala was appointed Head Coach of Konkola Blades Queens FC, who had just secured promotion to the Eden University Women’s Super Division. She has been given a three-year mandate to help the team transition into top-flight football and establish itself as a competitive force.

Coach Phiri is known for her calm leadership, strategic thinking, and deep commitment to growing the women’s game in Zambia. Her appointment at Konkola Blades signals both continuity and ambition for a club stepping onto the biggest stage yet.
