September 8, 2018, social media came to blistering life with a story making rounds that Emmanuel Banda is on the verge of moving to New Castle. Hairs were raised, fingers kept crossed and nothing came to fruition.
A month later, Enock Mwepu made headlines with a possible move to a middle ranked team in England. The lad is talented and has all it takes to play for any club in England. Zambians believed and after all was said and done and the post got their needed likes, he has remained in Austria.
Often relegated to the bench and only features in matches of little significance to Salzburg.
Next was the story of Musonda having agreed terms to now play for his country of birth. I personally followed up the trending news and the source I got the information from looked so concrete and founded that I was sure Charly Musonda is coming home. Nothing has come to fruition up to now.
At the beginning of the month of February, Fashion Sakala was rumored of having attracted interests from Arsenal and Villareal in Spain. It was even reported by a Belgian online page that few weeks into the Belgian league, the young Zambian is likened to Raheem Sterlin and will sign for a top club but the news just went down the drainages.
Now is the story of Justin Shonga having attracted interest from Europe. Let’s just keep quiet and only talk when the deal is finally done. Otherwise, we know how the story will end. For now, fingers crossed and best wishes to Shonga.
