Forest Rangers pulled a shocker when they woke up from slumber to beat Nkana at Levy Mwanawasa stadium and ugly scenes erupted in the beautiful game as Nkana fans lashed out on their technical bench.
When Nkana failed to rattle the net, Nkana fans showed the players how it should be done. Misilles of bottles and stones rattled the Nkana bench from the Nkana fans who kept shooting with accuracy forcing a scamper of players and the technical bench as they ran for safety. It is Nkana’s second loss in a row after losing to Mufulira Wanderers last week and the Nkana fans couldnt stomach the disappointment as they called for the head of Beston Chambeshi.
Beston Chambeshi’s head has now been put on the chopping board and Its not the first time the Red Army is puffing out discontent about their head coach in the recent past. Last month, Nkana chair man Evaristo Kabila was quote encouraging Beston Chambeshi to apply for the National team job. It was a clear indicator that Chambeshi is not needed at Nkana and that was a diplomatic way of telling him to leave in peace.
The last time Chambeshi coached Nkana, he had bottles of urine poured on him by some angry Nkana fans after Nkana lost to ZANACO. Chambeshi quit the job only to bounce back for another stint that now look like going the same old road.
Nkana FANS have been championing a campaign against hooliganism and change of mindset through Facebook posts and banners but that has just proven to be mare retorics as hooliganism and deadly passion seem rooted deep in their fans. The campaigns just wnd on face book nd holds no water as volcanoes of anger and aggression erupt like boils the moment the team begins to loose.
Else where , Mighty Mufulira wanderers FANS are also reported to have dived head first in the waters of hooliganism after they were pummeled by sturbon KANSANSHI DYNAMOS.
