WAFCON2024 Nigeria vs Zambia | Date: 18th July | Time: 18:00 CAT | Arena: Casablanca
The battlefield is set, and the blades are sharpened. Zambia’s Copper Queens march into a high-stakes quarter-final clash against the ever-dangerous Nigeria’s Super Falcons — and there’s history, vengeance, and pride on the line.
Flashback to 2022: Zambia stunned the African giants in the bronze medal match, snatching a 1–0 win thanks to an early blow from Evarine Katongo. Nigeria, who had dominated previous encounters with ruthless scorelines of 6–0 (2014) and 4–0 (2018), were caught cold and left licking wounds.
Now the Super Falcons return with fire in their eyes, while Zambia walks in not as underdogs, but as giant-slayers looking to carve a new legacy.

WAFCON 2024 Quarter-Final Warpath
It’s not just Zambia vs Nigeria. The entire quarter-final lineup is dripping with grudge matches, tactical landmines, and football brutality:
- Morocco vs Mali – The hosts are out to defend their turf, given a weaker Mali, and the mood to upset the script is slim.
- South Africa vs Senegal – Banyana Banyana, reigning champs, won’t hand over the crown easily. Senegal better bring armor.
- Algeria vs Ghana – Two wild beasts in the same cage. Only one walks out.
Only four teams will rise from this knife fight. The rest will bleed dreams on the pitch.
