Numamba’s urge to Zanaco to push into second position of the super league got an update after smashing troubled City of Lusaka. The rearranged match week 29 tasked on wednesday 11th October saw Zanaco move into second position of super league with 2 points only short from the Army side.Â
In attendance and commanding the bankers was Ziyo Tembo who just returned from Uyo Nigeria where Zambia faced off with the super eagles. Isaac Chansa also made appearance with Boyd Musonda and Felix Nyaende upfront.
But it was Heritier Nkonko with the hat trick who took Zanaco into smashing the limping Citi Yamoto. Early on things looked well for the troubled City when Danny Bondo took his chance in the 16th and his team was up by a goal.
But coach Numamba early on sub, sacrificing Adamson Mulao, took results only in the 35th minute when the substitute Heritier Nkonko restored parity for the home side.
And at the closing in of half time City of Lusaka was at par with Zanaco until 5 minutes later into second half Heritier called on the second goal.
Ernest Mbewe increased the chances to 3 before Heritier concluded his hattrick to disfavor the visitors to a 4-1 smashing.
City of Lusaka have seen no happiness since the 2017 super league campaign begun. From embarrassing and incomplete player registration mess on the first day of the league where they lost by 1 goal to Green Eagle. City went on to drop head coach Hector Chilombo in favor of Robert Landi. However the Italian coach Landi has delved nothing for the team that could have pushed it out of relegation a job he was tasked for.Â
Instead City have only won 2 games out of the 29 played with 21 losses. The first win was in the second week of the league and it was a hail of injury at Shinde stadium to Mufulira Wanderers who too have completely seen a share of struggle this season.
