Welcome to the MTN Super League Week 28 roundup, where we bring you all the latest results and highlights from the Zambian football scene. This week’s fixtures produced some thrilling encounters, with some surprising results along the way.

The standout fixture of the week saw ZESCO United put on a dominant display against Buildcon, with a resounding 6-0 victory. Collins Sikombe was the star of the show, scoring a brace in the 32nd and 88th minutes, while Enock Sakala, Lazarous Kambole, Vincent Oburu, and Songa Chipyoka also got on the scoresheet.

The win sees ZESCO United maintain their position at 8 of the league table, and they will be hoping to carry this form into their upcoming fixtures. On the lower hand, Buildcon remains at the bottom with 10 points.

Green Eagles continued their impressive form with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Chambishi. Amity Shamende and Gift Mwansa were on target for Green Eagles, while Eddie Sinyangwe scored a late penalty for Chambishi.

The win sees Green Eagles remain in fifth place in the league standings, and they will be hoping to push all the way in the race for the title.

Forest Rangers and Red Arrows played out an entertaining 1-1 draw, with both teams sharing the spoils. Saddam Yusuf Phiri scored a penalty in the eighth minute to give Red Arrows the lead, before Lazarous Chishimba equalized for Forest Rangers in the 54th minute.

The draw sees both teams maintain their top 7 table positions, and they will be hoping to push on in the coming weeks.

Kabwe Warriors secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Kansanshi Dynamos, thanks to an own goal from Shadreck Banda in the 73rd minute. The win sees Kabwe Warriors stand at the twelfth place in the league table, while Kansanshi Dynamos remain in 11th place.

Nkana came from behind to secure a crucial 2-1 victory over Nkwazi. Carlos Kaoma gave Nkwazi the lead in the 36th minute, but Emmanuel Mutale and Lameck Kafwaya scored in the 76th and 90th minutes respectively to give Nkana the win.

The win sees Nkana move up to 6th place in the league standings, while Nkwazi goes down to 15th place.

Finally, Nchanga Rangers and Lumwana Radiants played out a 1-1 draw, with Elliot Kampukesa scoring for Nchanga Rangers and Joe Simbuwa on target for Lumwana Radiants. The draw sees both teams remain in the bottom half of the league table.

In the other fixture of the week, Prison Leopards and FC MUZA played out a goalless draw, with both teams failing to find the back of the net.

The draw sees Prison Leopards teams in the 9th position while MUZA continues to content in the top three of the league table.
