Zesco Whack Green Eagles, Napsa continue to be stars

John Ching'andu score a brace against Eagles to help Zesco achieve 3-2 victory

Zesco United whacked visiting Green Eagles 3-2 at Levy Mwanawasa as Napsa continue to be stars topping the league with 5 points ahead. John Ching’andu and Jesse Were set up Team Yaziko 3 goals ahead before the break.

A minute into play Ching’andu took the lead before Jesse Were converted from the spot in the 22nd. And few minutes later John returned for a second as Eagles pulled one back running into half-time.

25 minutes into Second Half saw Eagles pulled a second one but the efforts could not fully come to fruition as the two goals fail short. And the ref said enough is enough after looking at his regulated time.

Napsa continue to be stars

Equally as Zesco Napsa Stars also played week 18 but in Southern province against Nakambala Leopards.

The nil nil final result saw the pensioners only get a point to move from 34 points. But the trailing Lusaka Dynamos who could have closed in on the gap also drew as at the final whistle. Dynamos played Kabwe Warriors at Railway “Ucar” Stadium where the final result was 0-0.

Dynamos stand at 30 points having played 16 games meaning they have a good chance to catch top  the lead with a point ahead of Napsa if they achieved 100% performance on the games in hand.

Other interesting result saw Zanaco draw to Buildcon on 0-0 note. Kabwe Warriors also drew scoreless 0-0 against Lusaka Dynamos.
