The ZSL often title MTN/FAZ super league which is the top tier of the Zambian league has been officially renamed to MTN super league or short for MSL.
This was revealed at the signing ceremony for the renewal of the league sponsorship this morning at MTN Zambia headquarters in Lusaka.
The renaming of ZSL to MSL follows the international standard that allows for the main sponsor. “This is a standard practice in football,” FAZ president Andrew Kamanga said, “where the headline sponsor carries the naming rights”.
The improved sponsorship deal will see the national senior team and super league clubs receive $2m USD (43,650 000 Zambian Kwacha) over the year.
