Copper Queens that will battle the Dutch

Zambia vs Netherlands: According to FAZ Media post, Zambia returns to the Olympics after 32 years, and it’s the Copper Queens the Zambia national women’s team that made it after overcoming the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon.

following up on the Copper Queens at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics

This also is the first time for the women’s national team to represent Zambia at the Olympics.

” The last Olympic qualification for any football team for Zambia was in 1988 when the team famously reached the quarterfinals.”

And today 21st July 2021 second day of the Tokyo Olympics Zambia plays Netherlands in their opening match and here are the Zambian girls to match up.

Captain: Barbara Banda

Goalkeeper: Hazel Nali, the Israel based goalkeeper with substitute Catherine Musonda and N’gambo Musole.

Defense: Likely to start on the defense are Lushomo Mweemba, Margaret Belemu and Anita Mulenga with Fikile Khosa, and Esther Siamfuko, Vast Phiri on standby.

At the center are names of Ireen ‘Xavi’ Lungu, Mary Wilombe, Hellen Chanda and Esther Namukwasa

Forward: Grace Chanda and Barbra Banda and Hellen Mubanga with Ochumba Oseke Lubanji and Avell Chitundu on the line.
