NKANA BATTLE PYRAMIDS IN EGYPT
NKANA and Pyramids tomorrow Wednesday March 10, go head to head in the first 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage match in Group D in Cairo, Egypt at 30 June Stadium.
Nkana will be hoping to start with a positive result in it’s opening Group D game.
Kalampa have struggled for form domestically and have gone 5 games in all competition without a win.
The Kevin Kaindu coached side have also struggled to produce good results against the North African teams in the past.
“It hasn’t been easy for Nkana to beat the North African teams but I think we are coming from the last league where we managed to qualify to get to the group stage,” Kaindu said.
The last time Kalampa visited North Africa they lost 2-1 to TAS De Casablanca of Morocco in the pre-group stage but qualified to the Group Stage on a 3-2 goal aggregate.
“It hasn’t been easy interms of goalkeeping and we shall try to find a permanent solution and hopefully the goalkeeper who will be available in Wednesday’s match will come to the party,” Kaindu said.
And winger Ackim Mumba said preparations were going on well and everyone was ready and looking forward to tomorrow’s game.
He further added:”We don’t expect an easy game, it’s going to be tough but we are equal to the task and will just play according to what we know about the team”.
The match gets underway at 16h00 in Cairo.
