And as the Zambia super league dwindles to its barbed end, both ZANACO and NKANA will have everything to play for when they clash at Sunset on Wednesday 16th June 2021.
While ZANACO will battle to seal a second-place finish, Nkana will have every frustration and pressure of a drop into lower division football cascading over them as they walk through the ninety minutes long tunnel of uncertainty at sunset.
- It is Nkana’s last Chance to swim or sink.
The 13 times defending Champions who have already handed their crown to Zesco United will again invest every single of hope and confidence in Alex Ng’onga.
He is a complete package of a defender’s nightmare but the former Power dynamos forward has been a shadow of himself in the last three matches and he will quickly need to reclaim the respect he had commanded among the Nkana faithful hoping their ripped defense won’t crack as easy as it did in Kafue.
On the other end, ZANACO will be welcoming back Moses Phiri and Rodger Kola.
It is a horrific partnership carrying 31 goals in between them this season and the weight of that statistic already sounds damaging to Beston Chambeshi’s masterclass plan for survival.
The pair, however, struggled in National colors where they all failed to score in the four matches Zambia played in West Africa against Senegal, Benin, and Sudan on Zambia’s international friendly tour.
They are hungry and Nkana will need some circumcised levels of steadfastness and resolve to keep their goal drought even longer.
