ZPL Week 4 Recap, Nkana can’t catch a break—docked points for last week, beaten by Kabwe Warriors this week. Meanwhile, Power Dynamos and Red Arrows are flying high in ZPL Week 4.
The MTN Super League served up plenty of drama in Week 4 with goals, upsets, and big wins across Zambia. Here’s how the action unfolded on September 13th, 2025:
Kabwe Warriors 1-0 Nkana FC
Nkana’s troubles deepened as Francis Banda’s 59th-minute strike secured all three points for Kabwe Warriors. After being docked points for last week against Green Buffaloes, this latest defeat adds to Nkana’s miserable start to the season.
Konkola Blades 1-1 FC Leopards
Victor Mubanga converted a penalty in the 47th minute to put Blades ahead, but Gibson Banda equalized in the 75th minute for Leopards. Both sides walked away with a point.
Mufulira Wanderers 0-1 Zesco United
A costly own goal from Bwembya Kakungu in the 63rd minute gifted Zesco a narrow victory, keeping the Ndola giants in the hunt for early momentum.
Power Dynamos 2-0 Napsa Stars
Moses Shumah was the star man, scoring twice in the 50th and 90th minutes to seal a convincing win for Power Dynamos.
Red Arrows 2-0 Nchanga Rangers
Goals from Michee Malonga (70’) and Alassane Diarra (90+5’) gave Arrows a comfortable home win as they continue their strong form.
Green Buffaloes 2-0 Mines United
Buffaloes, who benefited from Nkana’s disciplinary slip last week, showed they can win on the field too. Bornwell Mwape (79’) and Erick Chomba (83’) struck late to secure a 2-0 victory.
Green Eagles 0-1 FC Muza
Rickson Ng’ambi’s 32nd-minute goal was enough for Muza to leave with maximum points, in one of the tightest games of the week.
Week 4 Talking Point:
Nkana’s fall from grace is the major headline. A docked three points and back-to-back defeats leave the former Red Devils in early crisis. Meanwhile, Power Dynamos, Red Arrows, and Green Buffaloes look sharp as they climb the table.
The ZPL season is heating up, and with form beginning to show, fans can expect even more twists in the coming weeks.
