2019 ABSA CUP LAUNCHED with huge incentives early this morning at an event held in Lusaka at InterContinental Hotel. The ABSA Cup formerly known as Barclays Cup Zambia was launched with a bigger package.
The newly launched ABSA Cup comes with a K500,000 winners prize and also a category of Best Coach prize.
And Football Association of Zambia President Andrew Kamanga said the transitional league will see three games played in the inaugural Absa Cup tournament.
Other incentives coming with the new ABSA Cup according to Barclays Bank Zambia MD Mizinga Melu are financial literacy training for football teams.
Also for the first time in the football history of Zambia, the cup sponsor will pay for the accommodation of the participating teams.
