The spills, thrills, and drama in the ZSL will be ignited this Saturday as the inaugural ABSA Cup 2019 graces the Zambian football sky.
Aggrey Chiyangi who led Zambia to Southern Africa glory will face his assistant Numba Mumamba as Green Eagles dare Zanaco in a semi-final that promises splashes of fireflies.
Past Meeting Green Eagles vs Zanaco
Green Eagles have been a project on the rise and ZANACO will approach the match with lots of Caution. Perhaps, Green Eagles will step into this semi-final encounter as favorites to progress after winning their dream while ZANACO settled for second best behind Zesco United. But all in all Chiyangi and Numba will be a thirsty showdown for supremacy
The Choma side under Chiyangi has mastered the art of playing some breathtaking combinations of mazy runs, progressive passes and ferocious finishing orchestrated by Spencer, Hakaluba and Tapson Kaseba. It’s a lethal combination that no defense would want to face but ZANACO can never be ruled out.
The Bankers, on the other hand, will look up to a potent midfield anchored on Tafadzwa Rusike. The Zimbabwean who couldn’t make an AFCON cut in the Zim Squad is a menace going forward.
He wriggles around and bends his opponents with such deft and eye-popping easy. On the right flank will be alive naked wire in Ernest Mbewe.
His turbo speed and incisive trickery can be electrocuting.
Elsewhere, Zesco United will take on Buildcon in another Semifinal epic encounter.
